Why do I need to include my personal details to create an account?

We require Creators to provide their legal personal information at signup to verify identities and ensure each account belongs to the person creating it. This helps prevent impersonation and protects both Creators and Backers. If the information you submit does not match during verification, you will not be able to launch a project or list store items until the issue is resolved.
